I decided on a mixed media collage style of animation which allowed me to depict iconic movie scenes while having the freedom of being playful at the same time. The used techniques are a mixed bag of animated photography cutouts, illustration, as well as rotoscopes. The campaign consisted of various 60 sec,30 sec, 15 sec and 6 sec versions. Digital and TV broadcast.
The first edition of the campaign, in Poland, proved to be very effective and had an impressive reach. The animations generated an average VTR of nearly 80% resulting in a 16% increase in Paramount Network’s viewership. The success led to further editions. After two Polish editions I was approached by Paramount Network Netherlands to introduce the campaign into a new territory.
The campaign transcended not only TV screens but also embraced social media, web, print and digital-out-of-home platforms forging strong emotional connections with viewers. I created artworks corresponding with the animations as well as playful movie quizzes where the audience got to guess the film based on a collage illustration depiction.
